Picks CLG.eu:
Henrik 'Froggen' Hansen - Anivia
Mike 'Wickd' Petersen - Irelia
Peter 'Yellowpete' Wüppen - Kog Maw
Mitch 'Krepo' Voorspoels - Alistar
Stephen 'Snoopeh' Ellis - Maokai
Picks M5:
Alexey 'Alex Ich' Ichetovkin - Twisted Fate
Daniel 'Diamondprox' Reshetnikov - Nocturne
Eugene 'Genja007' Andryushin - Corki
Edward 'Edward' Abgarian - Nunu
Eugene 'Darien' Mazaev - Vladimir
The first game started off with a very aggressive playstyle by CLG.eu. The team was invading the enemy's jungle and grouped up in a brush, waiting to catch someone out of position. And that plan succeeded just too well. Just a little bit later they were able to catch Darien totally off position. He struggled and tried to get out by using his pool, but CLG decided to chase him down and go for a towerdive at level 1. Due to very great team sync they managed to kill Darien even though they had to take several turret hits.
Shortly after that, M5 managed to pick up a kill on Krepo after Nocturne passed by for a gank. Krepo happened to not be close enough to the turret to save himself in time.
Around 12:31 CLG decided to strike back and Snoopeh made an appearance on botlane. He ended up scoring a kill on GoSuPepper.
M5 responded to all of this with a 5 men gank bot. They were able to finish off Kog Maw quickly, but fast and well coordinated reaction by Snoopeh and Froggen saved Alistar from dying to the enemy as well and even getting them a kill on Maokai.
But there was also plenty of action on top lane. With the help of a gank by yellowpete, wickd managed to strike down Vladimir, who kept pushing the lane pretty strong.
During a fight at M5's mid inner turret, Alistar managed to pick up a kill on Corki. Another beautyfully executed fight on mid lane brought CLG a fantastic result of 4 kills without any losses on their side.
After that, a teamfight started right in the middle of M5's base. CLG managed to turn this fight into a 4 for 0 exchange. With this teamfight granting them the huge advantage of temporarily outnumbering the enemy team, CLG took the change, pushed M5's whole base and ended up destroying their nexus, what made them win the first game of the finals.
Note: The match could not be fully covered as the DreamHack's streams were having issues.

Picks CLG.eu:
Henrik 'Froggen' Hansen - Karthus
Mike 'Wickd' Petersen - Renekton
Peter 'Yellowpete' Wüppen - Urgot
Mitch 'Krepo' Voorspoels - Soraka
Stephen 'Snoopeh' Ellis - Maokai
Picks M5:
Alexey 'Alex Ich' Ichetovkin - Kassadin
Daniel 'Diamondprox' Reshetnikov - Irelia
Eugene 'Genja007' Andryushin - Kog'Maw
Edward 'Edward' Abgarian - Alistar
Eugene 'Darien' Mazaev - Nautilus
Straight away both teams playing very aggressive within all lanes, lots of ganks from both junglers with amazing escapes from all players. Lots of exchanges with players falling below 50% hp and denying both teams first blood.
First blood is picked up at 10 minutes by Renekton on Irelia with help from Maokai.
Karthus gets towerdived by Nautilus and Kassadin, leading them into CLG's jungle where they kill Karthus but find Maokai who picks up a kill on Nautilus then proceeds to 1v1 Kassadin. Both players fall below 50 hp and Renekton flashes over blue buff to secure the kill on Kassadin with Maokai walking away alive.
CLG contests Dragon and secures it, they catch Nautilus venturing a bit too close and pick an easy kill on him with the rest of M5 retreating.
CLG picks up a second dragon and, yet again, catches a member of M5, Kassadin, out of position and takes the gold lead to 20k.
CLG takes Baron Nashor uncontested, M5 knowing they were too weak to stop them.
CLG pushes for middle inhibitor, towerdives and Karthus picks up a triple kill on Alistar, Kog'Maw and Nautilus then back.
CLG picks up second Baron, uncontested, while M5 are defending their base against minions. CLG aims to get top Inhibitor next and do so after an engage from Alistar getting a 3 man pulverise and M5 trying to focus Urgot, however Renekton picks up 2 kills and forces M5 to retreat and lose two Inhibitor with no deaths for CLG.
CLG takes a third Baron and aim for bottom tower and inhibitor. Karthus picks up 3 kills along with Renekton picking up one kill, they then push for the victory and go home with $15,000 and 5 new gaming laptops.
