A New LEC Year Begins With A New SK Gaming Roster

With LEC Versus kicking off this Saturday, 19th of January, catch up on all the changes to the SK Gaming LEC team for 2026. 

In 2026 the SK LEC team is full of surprising additions and well known European League of Legends stars. The roster centers around arguably the best support in the region Mihael "Mikyx" Mehle, a player with multiple World Championship appearances and LEC titles under his belt. 

Joining him are his former teammate Martin "Wunder" Hansen, who shares many of Mikyx' accolades, as well as Adam "LIDER" Ilyasov, the midlaner with the most unorthodox champion pool in Europe. Surprises in our drafts will be a given, and even more so once the matches move on from Best of 1s to Fearless Best of 3s and Best of 5s. 

For the AD Carry position, Josip "Jopa" Čančar marks his debut in the LEC after multiple years across the European regional leagues. He will undoubtedly benefit from laning with an incredibly experienced support such as Mikyx so expectations for his performance are high. 

The last piece of the puzzle is our only returning player from 2025, jungler Duncan "Skeanz" Marquet, whose contract we immediately extended in the beginning of the 2025-2026 off-season. 

Of course, we can't forget a vital part of the formula for a team's success - namely the coaching staff. David Rodriguez "Own3r" de la Torre will spend his second year at the helm of the SK Gaming LEC team as our head coach. For 2026, he is joined by multiple title winning assistant coach Christopher "Duffman" Duff, and Simon "Baguette" Cordonnie, a fresh but extremely eager and motivated new recruit.
