In an video interview Stephano revealed that he is "most likely" going to end his career in six months, when his contract with EG expires. He wants to focus on studying again and stop playing Starcraft II. The lack of fun playing Starcraft II seems to be the main reason for him. As Stephano states, he is only having fun, if he is winning tournaments in front of a crowd, knowing thousands of people are watching him.
It is not a secret that the Zerg player is spoiled. Apparently tournament wins are something he needs. It was surprising though that Stephano said he might be beyond his best level and his time might simply be over. Some major success is missing lately, but Stephano has won several tournaments such as Lone Star Clash I and II, IGN Pro League Season 3, ESWC 2011, NASL Season 3 and the WCS Europe Finals.
The time in Korea didn't really benefit Stepahno, as he elaborates. It seems that his time there made him a bit depressive due to a lack of social life contacts. Improving as a player worked out, but the lack of success and social life took a toll on Stephano, as it seems.
