The first official Counter-Strike: Global Offensive LAN tournament came to an end and now, it is time for the final recap of the playoffs stage. As many people expected, the brand new
Ninjas in Pyjamas 's troop took home the champion title and the $4.325 prize pool, showing the same perfect performance in all their matches.
The second and last day of the SteelSeries GO challenge started with the semifinal matches. In the first turn, we saw the action between
Lemondogs and
BuggIT . The best-of-three series had its opening on de_dust2_se where BuggIT showed their intentions to go ahead on the score. They applied to strong teamplay and finished the half with a victory 12-3. On the second half of the map, BuggIT managed to get the remaining rounds to close the map with a overall score of 16-11 in their favor.
The win on the first map was an enormous morale booster for the BuggIT players. They started de_nuke.se winning the vital pistol round and forced the next saving round to completely ruin the Lemondog's economy. The final score of the map was an overwhelming 16-3 and a definitive 2-0 on the global result.
The remaining semifinal match was played simultaneously, between the main favourite
Ninjas in Pyjamas and
madzone . This match was a complete monologue from the team that features two former SK stars and the ex-Fnatic in-game leader. The first map picked on the best-of-three series was de_nuke.se were the ninjas wasted no time to destroy their rivals, ending with a 16-1 score.
The story repeated once again on the second map, this time at de_dust2.se with NiP winning by a 16-1 score and with
Patrik 'f0rest' Lindberg as most valious player.
With the overall score of 2-0 the ninjas won a slot on the grand final to fight for the championship.

f0rest once again as most valuable player
All the preliminary stages were completed and the awaited grand final started. The first map chosen was de_dust2_se where both teams did not manage to take big round differences as both showed great strategy. The break of the score happened on the second half as the ninjas took some rounds consecutively to close the map with a 16-12 score.
At de_train_se the action from both sides did not stop and we witnessed the same close battle as on the fist map. With f0rest once again on his best shape, the CS 1.6 and CS:S mix team finished winning their first side, and closed the map and match after the side swich. With the 16-10 result on de_nuke.se NiP ends a flawless tournament as champions, getting the $4.325 prize pot.
