The day started with eight qualified teams and eight invited teams. We find names like
Eclypsia ,
logiX and
Drub eSports among the qualified teams competing against teams such as
SK Gaming ,
Team Curse EU and
Moscow Five .
The first big games we could find in the brackets were in round 2 where
Team Acer PL would take on m5, Eclypsia going up against Curse.eu and
EloHell meeting
gamehoppers.eu . Acer.pl vs M5 was a very close game with Acer taking the lead at a certain point and even winning most teamfights but whenever they won a teamfight they couldn't bring the situation into their advantage. This resulted in M5's slow but sure return into the game, winning it in the end.
In the semi finals we eventually have SK Gaming vs EloHell and Moscow5 against Curse.eu. SK went 2-1 against a very strong EloHell which thrived on the skills of Shushei. He dominated the second game with Diana securing the game and tieing the score 1-1. In the third game Shushei kept surprising with an Evelynn mid and though performing very well, SK played structured, focusing on the right targets and after a couple of well played teamfights, they took the 3rd game winning the semi finals!
M5 won the semi final pretty fast beating Curse.eu 2-0. Up next was the final between SK and M5 and it turned out to be a very nice set of games. 2-0 was the final score with dominating performances by
Carlos 'ocelote' Rodríguez Santiago and
Bora 'YellOwStaR' Kim. In the first game of the bo3 Ocelote's Orianna put in a beautiful ultimate catching 4 people of M5 leaving them all on low health for Yellowstar's Vayne to pick them up!
Game 1 VOD:
In the second game mobility was key as
Alvar 'Araneae' Martin Alenar showed some nice Shen moves synergising well with Twisted Fate and Ashe.
Game 2 VOD:
A boost for the team's morale and a nice cash prize for SK Gaming as they're in full preparation for Gamescom. M5 take home the 2nd place cash prize of 250 euro's and something to think about for the upcoming Regional qualifiers.
Make sure to tune in to the next SK Pro Trophy and don't forget to check out our tournament page for more information about upcoming qualifiers!
