In the past weeks all attention was directed at the confirmation of teams to attend the 2012 edition of GameGune. Today it was announced that the Swedish squad of
SK Gaming will not travel to Bilbao where the event will kick off on July 26th.
Alexander "TheSlaSH" Müller clarified the matter stating in an interview with HLTV.org :
The Swedish squad is last year's winner of Spanish tournament. By knocking out
ESC Gaming they managed to win the $14.602 prize pool of the event.

""After what happened at Dreamhack and especially the way the team prepared for this tournament, we approached the Gamegune tournament in a different way than previous years. We don't see the investment of going there is worth it.
A lot of tournaments have been called the last one for 1.6 so far. Among those a couple we participated in. To me it was ESWC 2011. This was also the last title missing at our end, therefore we feel like we have closure on the whole CS topic no matter what.""
