Not only did MYM win but after an epic overtime loss they did it in full force with a dominating second half of the third map which saw them lose only one round and storm all the way to the top of the podium.
mTw 05:16 MeetYourMakers swe (inferno 5:10 0:6)
First half
MYM got the first win of the final as they took the pistol and then continued on to 3:0. mTw.dk then took two rounds to bring it close and looked to tie it in the 6th round when two minet kills made it 2v1 for the Danes but MODDII had what it took to win the round and put MYM up 4:2. That was the start of a run for the Swedes as they took the next three with moddi killing two in both the 7th and 8th to put his score at 19-2.
mTw.dk took back a round thanks to three kills from anizz at the B bombsite but MYM got back to their winning ways and too the next two with the 11th seeing two kills for zet and three for pita. mTw.dk again interrupted things, but the teams traded last two to make it 10:5 for MYM.
Second half
If mTw.dk had been unable to figure out their opponents as CT they were in for a tough time as T as MYM completely shut them out 6:0 to take the map. The pistol was a two man affair with zet killing two and Delpan three. In the 4th zonic killed two to make it a 1v1 but then lost it. With famases mTw.dk find themselves taken apart at mid almost single handidly by MODDII who took down four. On the final round pita secured the win killing trace.
mTw 22:18 MeetYourMakers swe (dust2 11:4 4:11, OT1 2:1 1:2, OT2 2:1 2:0)
First half
mTw.dk got the second map started in the right way for them as CT with a quick 4:0 lead after they won the pistol round with each player contributing a kill. On the 3rd MYM bought but with two only buying deagles, which turned out not to be enough as zonic and minet killed two each. The 5th went to the Swedes but then mTw.dk were back at it as three kills from zonic stopped a long A push and gave mTw.dk a 5:1 lead. The next two also went to the Danes as in the 8th zonic won a 1v1 against Delpan who had killed two from 1v3 but couldn't get the last as zonic's USP took him down at the doors of B.
On an eco round in the 9th the Swedes surprised everyone as a zet glock headshot got them into B and gave MODDII a colt. He used it by waiting to the right of the doors where he was able to kill two. Then a zet headshot with a glock onto anizz at the doors, while in midair, left trace the last alive and this time zet used a colt to finish the job. The 10th went mTw's way before MYM came back to steal two and make it 8:4 to the Danish side. The last three belonged to mTw.dk as trace stepped it up a notch. In the 14th he killed two, with zonic chipping in two with a famas, and in the 15th he killed two, anizz killed two, and then he killed the last MYM player, zet, who was hiding in long A pit. 11:4 for the Danes who looked ready to move to another map and battle for the title.
Second half
If mTw.dk felt like the map was almost over MYM sure weren't on the same wavelength as they came straight out with a three kill MODDII round and the pistol. That soon turned into 3:0 when an mTw.dk buy and slow move up catwalk turned into Jumpy flanking them and killing three from behind. On the 5th round the catwalk was the scene again and Jumpy was the key player as he came from a 2v3 situation to kill all three Danes and defuse, 6:0 MYM.
mTw.dk got their first round win thanks to ave's three kills but MYM were far from done as they ran off four more to go up 10:1. The 8th round saw a 2v2 won by MODDII who took both kills. He continued his clutch play winning a 1v1 in the 9th. The 12th gave mTw.dk their second round win of the half but MYM reached map point in the next thanks to two kills from Delpan and MODDII. mTw.dk reached down deep and with two solid B takeovers took the game into overtime. The 14th round seeing them 5v3 when they planted and the 15th 3v2 with trace and anizz the heroes of the round in saving mTw.dk's series.
Overtime 1
The first half of overtime had mTw.dk take the lead with anizz killing three on the 2nd round as CTs. MYM took the last via catwalk thanks to three from Delpan and two from zet to keep themselves in things.
The second half had the Swedes take the 2:0 lead and three kills from zonic force the second OT.
Overtime 2
mTw.dk began this overtime as T and promptly lost another T pistol round on the map but then won the next two to once more take a lead into the overtime half. This time the Danes got it done as they reached map point in the first with three kills from minet and two from trace. In the second MODDII found himself 1v3 in B with the bomb but couldn't keep MYM's dust2 hopes alive and the series was tied up.
mTw 09:16 MeetYourMakers swe (nuke 8:7 1:9)
First half
mTw.dk started the third map of what by this time had become a DreamHack of insanely epic proportions for them with a pistol round win when trace got the better of Delpan at Ramp, thanks to Delpan having health in the red. On their gun round, the 4th, MYM took their first round as they hit upper and zet and MODDII chipped in two kills each. That began another huge MYM run as this time they put 7 together in total to go 7:3 up, overwhelming mTw.dk's attempts at defense or rotation.
mTw.dk apparently decided the first half wasn't over because they locked in and won every round remaining to finish with an 8:7 lead. The 13th round had trace 1v1 against zet who had planted and retreated to the window side blast doors. Here he jumped out to shoot the defusing trace but trace stopped, swung upwards and headshot in time to defuse.
Second half
MYM took the pistol round with two kills from MODDII and Delpan, going lower, and the next two mTw ecos followed to put the overall score at 10:8 for the Swedish side. mTw.dk took back a round with a wierd round where they got all five into the upper bombsite without sustaining any loss or killing anyone, whereupon they planted and three zonic kills won the round. To say mTw.dk had come far would be an understatement but only heartbreak remained for them. MYM won the 5th round when ave lost a 1v1 against Jumpy at upper with an AWP and the bomb planted, the Swede pushing hut on him.
MYM kept rolling and by the 9th round they were at match point and mTw.dk were down to buying galils. On the last round of the game some mTw.dk managed the odd AK but down to 2v5 quickly the best they could do was pick up a couple of kills before the game was over courtesy of Pita.
Ironically mTw.dk face a similar scenario to last year's DreamHack where their team had beaten the Polish MYM in the group stage, Mouz in the first round, fnatic in the second but then lost to SK in the final in three maps. This time around they beat SK in the first round, fnatic in the second, coL in the semi and then lose to MYM in the final in three maps.
