mTw 16:02 compLexity Gaming (dust2 13:2 3:0)
First half
mTw.dk must have been riding an enormous wave of confidence from their back to back victories over SK and fnatic because they came into this game absolutely rolling and showed coL zero respect at every turn. The pistol round was won with three kills from zonic as mTw began a reign of terror on the offensive side of dust2. 7:0 read the score after a 4th round in which they used players at long A to distract the coL A defense and then waltzed up catwalk and planted in a 4v3 situation.
Three kills from dboorN took the 8th round for the Americans but it was back to the mTw.dk show as they reeled off the next six in a row to go up a ridiculous 13:1 as terrorists on dust2. The 12th round even saw minet jump onto the ledge at the top of catwalk, look directly at hero who was AWPing across to B below him and then when the Americans noticed and quickly tried to aim the Dane killed him with a rifle burst. zonic was sitting on 24-5 and minet on 20-7 as they had their way with the American team at every turn.
The last round the game restarted inadvertantly or something similar and after some discussion/delay the game started the second half with coL apparently having been awarded the round to make it 13:2 to the incredible Danes.
Second half
The last round situation barely mattered as mTw.dk won the pistol round thanks to three kills from anizz and two from ave. coL bought up on the 2nd but pushing catwalk were all five headshot by anizz in a very tasty round which you can be sure you'll see in a frag movie in the next month or two. When trace won a 1v2 and defused on the last round at A the game went to the Danes 16:2 and mTw.dk stormed into a second map seemingly not to be stopped by mere mortals.
mTw 16:10 compLexity Gaming (nuke 7:8 9:2)
First half
nuke began much the same way with ave putting three headshots on coL from his USP and taking the round, the next three following. coL took two back thanks to upper attacks including a 5th round where thoMz killed two and hero got the other three. Then came some real party pieces from the Danish side as on the 7th round zonic sat at the area between the metal stairs outside and the garage and killed four coL players with his amazing colt talent.
Then on the 9th round minet and another mTw.dk player turned a 2v3 into a 2v2 with the bomb planted lower which they won in amazing fashion as they smoked the blast door, minet killed the coL player ambushing from the vent and then the bomb was defused and the last coL player killed at the doors. coL finally woke up out of the punch drunk comatose state they had been in from their Danish beating and remembered how to win rounds as they had a nice run of six in a row to end the half in the lead for the first time in the series at 8:7. The 11th round had hero and thoMz once more providing the firepower as they picked up two kills each.
Second half
coL may have won the first half but that didn't bring mTw.dk back down to earth as they again won the pistol round and tore off the next two as well. coL managed to take a round back in the 4th but after that mTw.dk got back to the business of destroying them on the offensive side as they ran up three more to put the score at 6:1.
On the 6th round two kills from zonic turned it into a 2v1 and then with the bomb planted 1v1 he hid at the top of the blast doors stairs. The coL player, thoMz, moved up the stairs to get him only to find zonic in mid-air strafe jumping, at which point the Dane landed and instantly hit his shot to kill the American who must have been wondering what he did wrong in a past life.
Three kills from dboorN on the 8th round from radio room to behind the squeaky door were good enough to power another coL round win to bring it to 6:2 in the half for the Danes and 13:10 overall. However the last three belonged to mTw.dk and the man who had been on fire every round of the playoffs came through in the last round with three kills to seal the map and series for the Danish side.
Incredible CS by mTw.dk which will leave them in a position where if they were to lose the final we'll all be wondering how it was possible and if they were to win it they will have to let anizz go back off home and take in Sunde again. How would they handle any losses after that? Of course that is all playful speculation at this point and certainly the latter is a problem you'd rather have than not. Still food to think about in this bizarre DreamHack which has seen mTw.dk completely catch fire in the playoffs.
