The match between WICKED eSports and mTw has just finished, where we were able to witness playing at its best by both sides.
The first map was to be de_inferno. It seems that Filip 'NEO' Kubski was woken up by the previous loss against Fnatic and decided to pick up the pace where he was seen top fragging on both halfs. Same goes for Danny 'zonic' Sørensen who seems to be on fire today, neither wanting to give up the third place. Despite zonic playing very nicely, mTw just wasn't able to pick up enough rounds and lost 9-16.
De_nuke was to be the second map. mTw had a brilliant start on Terrorists winning it 9-6 where Jonas 'whiMp' Svendsen and Danny 'zonic' Sørensen decided to carry their team. Onto the second half WICKED were able to pick the first round but couldn't get any more as mTw picked up their momentum, full of confidence. They went on to win the game 16-7.
The deciding map was to be de_train where yet again Filip 'NEO' Kubski makes an appearance on top of the scoreboard of both sides which included some nice, if not random, wallbangs. Zonic was yet again carrying his team on first half CT, where most of the rounds were thanks to him, however, he wasn't able to pull it off on his own and mTw lost CT side 6-9. This is where WICKED could smell victory and got their act together to make a strong defensive side, letting go of only one round and winning the map 16-7 and an overall win of 2-1, making them 3rd place of the KODE5 Global Finals 2009.
