Gravitas has gone through some rather significant changes over the past few months. Most recently, the Russian arm of Gravitas' international Warcraft roster was removed, along with the Finnish undead player Samuli "elfittaja" Sihvonen.

The news of the removal of the three remaining members, Mykhaylo 'HoT' Novopashyn, Yoan 'ToD' Merlo and Nikolaus 'SonKiE' Cassidy, comes as a surprise as only a few weeks ago Gravitas Gaming formally announced that in spite of changes, they would keep their team and continue competing in the ESL's WC3L, prior to the WC3L's format changes.

The news is yet even more surprising given it was only two months ago Gravitas signed SonKiE, fresh off his victory at the WCG US qualifier final.

On the subject of leaving the team, SonKiE said "The time I spent on Gravitas was short lived but memorable. I will never forget the professional team spirit and especially our adventures together in Germany. It's a shame it had to happen this way, but when one door closes, multiple ones open. Thanks for everything Gravitas!"

HoT, a longtime player for Gravitas Gaming and one of their first high profile acquisitions said "The past year in Gravitas was a big step for me, I enjoyed every moment, too bad things ended like this but I want thank you everyone who cheered for us and hope you will still support us in the future"

ToD, who is arguably Gravitas' most coveted player, is expected to be picked up rather quickly. Demand for the human player reached fever pitch following his release from both Four Kings and Mousesports. The Frenchman also had a few parting words, "Although I didn't stay in GG for very long, I can say I really enjoyed my time in the team, and was treated quite well, I want to wish them the best of luck and to us as well."

The Frenchman also accepted an interview with myMYM where he revealed the reason for his lack of participation in PGL as well as answering questions regarding his hunt for a new team.

The press release failed to clarify whether or not Gravitas would be replacing any of their Warcraft players, or whether further cutbacks would be made throughout other teams within the organisation.
