As usual, the CS:GO tournaments take place one after the other and after the conclusion of IEM Sydney 2018 which ESL organized exceptionally well the organization will hold another gigantic LAN event on the other side of the globe in Dallas for the ESL Pro League Season 7 Finals.
After another disappointing performance in Sydney, our team is continuing to adjust to the new circumstances that the addition of
Jake 'Stewie2k' Yip brought along. The squad will turn to the leadership of
Marcelo 'coldzera' David who will take over the role of the in game leader from
Gabriel 'FalleN' Toledo and hopes to give the roster a fresh and unpredictable identity. The first chance to find and manifest innovations is going to come against the Swedes of
Ninjas in Pyjamas against whom we will start our tournament run.
A wind of change is also blowing in the structure of this year’s ESL Pro League edition. For the first time in the history of the league sixteen teams will compete for the amount of 750,000 Dollars. They will do so in two double-elimination groups that offer three playoffs spot each. The upper-bracket winners will directly advance to the semi-finals while the upper-bracket runners-up will take on the lower-bracket winners in the quarter-finals.
The starting field offers a nice mix of well established teams and up and coming talents who can not wait to gain more experience and bother the veterans. Down below you can find the compound of both groups.
Group A:
mousesports (oskar, chrisJ, suNny, STYKO, ropz)
Sharks (nak, exit, leo_druNky, RCF, jnt)
FaZe (karrigan, Xizt, GuardiaN, NiKo, rain)
Cloud 9 (FNS, Skadoodle, RUSH, tarik, autimatic)
NRG Esports (daps, FugLy, Brehze, nahtE, CeRq)
Heroic (MODDII, RUBINO, friberg, es3tag, niko)
Natus Vincere (Edward, Zeus, flamie, s1mple, electronic)
MVP PK (solo, glow, zeff, XigN, HSK)
Group A arguably features three teams who currently belong to the world’s top five.
mousesports is improving steadily and continues to impress by repeatedly finishing in the top four of competitions. Their first matchup will be against
Sharks , the teammates of our squad’s old acquaintance
Renato 'nak' Nakano, who entered the event via the Latin American qualifier and have caused quite some stir in the Brazilian scene. Another first game to watch should be the clash of the reigning Major champions of
Cloud 9 and the newly crowned conquerors of the IEM Sydney 2018 trophy
FaZe who have faced each other many times during the course of the year.
Group B:
Team Liquid (nitr0, NAF, EliGE, TACO, Twistzz)
Grayhound (dexter, Gratisfaction, erkaSt, malta, Dickstacy)
Space Soldiers (MAJ3R, XANTARES, Despe, paz, ngiN)
Renegades (jks, AZR, jkaem, USTILO, Nifty)
OpTic Gaming (Snappi, cajunb, JUGi, gade, k0nfig)

Ninjas in Pyjamas (f0rest, GeT_RiGhT, dennis, draken, REZ)
SK Gaming (FalleN, fer, boltz, Stewie2K, coldzera)
The highlights of the opening matches of our group should be the Danish derby of
Astralis Denmark and the newly formed
OpTic Gaming roster and the duel of our players against
Ninjas in Pyjamas .
