Regularly, you would associate beautiful landscapes, excellent weather and exotic and dangerous animals with Australia. However, during this time of year I think of great CS:GO and of SK Gaming hoisting a trophy when I think about Australia. IEM Sydney 2018 is here and our squad will look to tie on to the form of last year’s stint when they came out on top.
Fernando 'fer' Alvarenga played exceptionally well during that title run and has to kick it up a notch again in order to help his team defend last year's title.
Our Brazilians kick off the tournament against
Tyloo at 05:10 CET and share their group with a bunch of local Australian rosters and the favorites of
Cloud9 and
FaZe. It will be interesting to see how the Australian squads will fare against all these top opponents and if they are going to be able to give the fans of their home country something to cheer about.
