This easter-weekend the German FIFA elite will clash in the German Football Museum in Dortmund to determine the national champion of the Virtuelle Bundesliga. Instead of searching for eggs the players are going to look to score goals and make their way through the competition. This weekend, FC Bayern München could win the German championship several matchdays before the season officially ends. The developments of the virtual pitch at the event will resemble the action of the real football clubs as we are on the verge of the crowning of two champions. In the meantime, 1.FC.Köln will face TSG 1899 Hoffenheim while both of our FIFA players
Mirza 'Mirza' Jahic and
Timo 'Praii' Gruneisen will once again represent Colognes top football club as they try to conquer the German FIFA scene at the tournament. We will provide you with live coverage of our players results at the bottom of this article and keep you updated about all the other participants who advance to the playoffs.
The participating field consists of twenty-four individuals who are divided into four groups that will feature six players each. Twelve participants will compete at the Playstation 4 and the remaining twelve will perform at the Xbox One. Both our men are going to have to use Microsofts console and unfortunately have to face each other during the first stage of the tournament in Group C. 150.000 players have tried their luck in the open competition. Only the best of the best are left. The top four of each group will advance to the K.O. stage and in the end the top two contesters of each console will face each other in the grand final that will feature a game on the Playstation 4 and one on the Xbox One.
Just as in the playoffs the Ultimate Team squads of the participants will only consist of Bundesliga players and are only going to feature a maximum of three players of a single Bundesliga club. Wildcards for the event were handed to every former Virtuelle Bundesliga champion and two additional international players. Because of his victory in 2013/2014, Mirza got handed an entry and is able to perform on the Xbox One. After an intense bootcamp in our headquarter in Cologne, both of our players are ready to grab the bull by the horns and give everything they got. The German TV-channel Sport1 will broadcast the complete event via stream and on television.
