Our Counter Strike division travelled on a long journey from sunny California to chilly Kiev to participate in the StarSeries i-League Season 4 and have a shot at the larger part of the $300,000 prize pool. The atmosphere at the venue will be far from frosty as a total of sixteen highly motivated squads will have a chance to enter the playoffs and be the centre of attention inside of the Kiev Cybersport Arena. Thanks to an innovation to the swiss format of the group stage, the spectacle will only feature best of threes in every phase of the tournament and is going to be longer than ever before. The competition will take place from the 17th to 25th of February and after an off-day on Tuesday the 22nd, the eight remaining teams will narrow down the participating field even further by going head to head in the playoffs.
The event organizers have split the competitors in four pools according to their hltv rank. The second group will have to take on the third pool, while the top teams will clash with the squads out of the fourth section. Because our Brazilians are part of the first pool, they will take on the rather unknown Koreans of
MVP PK to kick off the tournament in the first best of three of the event.
