SK Gaming are your BLAST Pro Series Copenhagen 2017 champions!
Our Brazilian squad managed to conquer their seventh for the year championship title after defeating the Danish powerhouse Astralis in the grand final on their home soil.
The team reached the bracket final with three victories over the Frenchmen of G2 Esports, two times IEM Oakland champions Ninjas in Pyjamas and
Kristian 'k0nfig' Wienecke's North, and two defeats earlier against Astralis and
Olof 'olofmeister' Kajbjer's FaZe Clan.
The opening map of the best-of-three grand final against the ELEAGUE Major Atlanta 2017 champions Astralis was our pick Mirage, which we lost due to poor CT side coordination as we managed to win only four rounds during the first half of it.
The second map of the series was the Danes' choice Inferno, on which we had mixed results recently and the odds were definitely in favor of Astralis, but nonetheless our Brazilians managed to score it, mainly due to our strong offensive side, and force third and final map.
The decider was none other than former Team 3D player
Salvatore 'Volcano' Garozzo's own creation Cache. The Danish squad began on the defensive side and secured a strong lead during the first half. However once again due to
Gabriel 'FalleN' Toledo's astonishing performance during the entire series, our team secured nine rounds to force overtime. The Danes could not keep up during the overtime as SK Gaming managed to take four rounds out of a total five to win the match and bring home yet another trophy.
