Yesterday was full of exciting matches. Three of our cardslingers traveled to Valencia to compete with almost 250 players for Hearthstone World Championship points and a part of the $27,500 prize pool.
After great performances two of our representatives,
Powder and
AKAWonder still have a chance to advance to the playoffs. Both players have a 5W-2L record and to compete in the next stage they need to win their remaining 2 matches.
Powder is on 48th place in the rankings after day 1 with 47% for first and 62% for second tiebreaker*,
AKAWonder is 39th with 62% and 52% tiebreakers.
Spo dreams about advancing to the next stage are unfortunately over since with his 3W-4L record he can't get into the top 16 even if he win his remaining matches. He will for sure help our other players to analyse their opponents though.
The remaining rounds of the Dreamhack Valencia swiss stage starts today at 12:15 CEST so stay tuned for more information and keep your fingers crossed for our players.
Update: Unfortunately both Powder and AKAWonder fell short of the top 16 with 6-3 and 5-4 scores respectively.
Stream will be available on Twitch TV.
Just to remind you the prize pool is $25,000 and will be distributed as follows:
The tournament will also feature some side events where $2,500 are up for grabs.
