This week's legend deck is brought to you by our Priest master
Zetalot, which of course means it's a Priest deck.
You can find the full deck list here.
Zetalot has loved the Priest class since the dawn of Hearthstone and is known as one of the best, if not the best, Priest player in the world. Here is your chance to spark a love for the healing class - and this deck even features bananas, making it the healthier choice. Build the deck, eat a banana, and learn to Priest like Zetalot.
What are the win conditions of the deck?
Against aggressive decks surviving is just enough. When it comes to more control match-ups, there are plenty of options: take board control, win in fatigue (thanks to double Entomb) or win with Elise Starseeker.
What are the good/bad matchups?
Best match-ups are probably N'Zoth Paladin (entomb his crucial deathrattle minions - like Tirion and Sylvanas) and Control Warrior (easy win in fatigue). There's not too much early game in those decks, which is why Zoo and Tempo Mage seem to be the biggest problem for this list.
Any tips and tricks for climbing with the deck? Playing it to max potential?
Try to get best possible Resurrect value. For example, if your hand is Cleric, Blademaster and Resurrect - don't play Cleric. Instead, wait for full Blademaster value. Also Resurrect has good synergy with Wild Pyromancer (it instantly does one AoE damage when resurrected).
Can you talk about your card choices? For example, what makes Mukla so essential/good?
My biggest discovery for Priest in this expansion is the new Mukla. Comboing it with Wild Pyromancer is just insane and gives amazing board clear. Buffing friendly minions for good trades is great, buffing enemy minions just to put them into Shadow Word: Death range is also good. In some fatigue games you can even exchange the two bananas for legendary minions thanks to Elise Starseeker.
You tweak your priest decks all the time, how do you decide what to change/tweak and what motivates your decisions? Also when do you usually decide it's time to tweak a deck?
I always try to counter the meta in the best possible way and that's why I change my deck lists all the time. Sometimes one card makes a huge difference (for example Mukla in this one) and the deck gets so much better because of it. The best time to tweak your list is obviously when you keep facing the same or similar match-ups.
After you've encountered a similar deck numerous times you "just counter them", Zetalot says, ending the interview with a smile.
