SK Gaming has been invited to participate in the first European closed qualifier for the upcoming $250,000 DreamHack Masters Malmö 2016 event. Other invites include our Danish rivals of Team Dignitas, Vexed Gaming, the Bulgarian team E-Frag,
Kévin 'Ex6TenZ' Droolans's G2 Esports and more.
Total of two qualifiers will be held for the European region, with the number one scheduled to run from 12th to 13th of March, while the second from 19th to 20th the same month.
The following eight teams has been invited for the first European qualifier:
SK Gaming (AcilioN, Friis, Magiskb0Y, MODDII & Pimp)
Team Dignitas (k0nfig, Kjaerbye, MSL, RUBINO & Tenzki)
G2 Esports (Ex6TenZ, RpK, ScreaM, shox & SmithZz)
mousesports (chrisJ, denis, nex, NiKo & Spiidi)
E-Frag (bubble, nkl, pNshr, spyleadeR & v1c7oR)
Flipside Tactics (B1ad3, bondik, markeloff, Shara & WorldEdit)
Vexed Gaming (Furlan, GruBy, Hyper, rallen & repo)
Lounge Gaming (innocent, MICHU, mouz, peet & SZPERO)
These eight teams will be joined by another eight from the open qualifier in a single elimination best-of-one bracket with two spots for the main event to be given out.
The first edition of DreamHack Masters will take place from 12th to 17th of April in Malmö, Sweden. The tournament will feature a total of sixteen teams and $250,000 in prize purse.
The Swedish powerhouse Fnatic, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Astralis, Virtus.pro, Team EnVy, Natus Vincere, Luminosity Gaming and
Robert 'RobbaN' Dahlström's FaZe are the only teams so far confirmed to participate in this tournament.
