Back in April, we reported that the Electronic Sports League (ESL) and the E-Sports Entertainment Association (ESEA) joined forces to host a new competition on a whole new level, entitled the ESL ESEA Pro League with prize purse of $1,000,000 for the year.
For 2015, there will be two seasons each featuring $500,000 prize pool and the best teams from Europe and North America fighting for the biggest prize purse in the history of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive to date.
It is now confirmed that the offline final stage of the first season will take place at the ESL's state-of-art esports arena in Cologne, Germany, while the second season will most likely be held in Los Angeles, USA, later this year.
The regular season stage is already online with weekly matches being played in both the North American and European regions and is scheduled to run until June 28th, while the LAN playoffs are scheduled to kick off from July 2nd to 5th.
Total of twenty-four teams from both continents are participating in this competition, divined in to two groups for each region, with only the top four from each moving to the playoffs. All the teams participating are the following:
