The mammoth 30 minute video interview focuses mainly on the biggest Benelux event ever held, AEF, which starts today and plays host to a €30,000 Call of Duty 4 tournament, a FIFA 08 tournament and the Belgian Electronic Sports World Cup qualifier.
The event which is being held at the Hilton hotel in Antwerp is only one of three projects under the GameVibes umbrella and in the interview 'dfb' explains the role of each project (the other two being Badgirls and TEK-9 Networks) and what he plans to do with them in 2008/9.
The event was originally only a school project and the Belgian equivalent of Matthieu Dallon explains how he managed to organise the biggest event ever held in the Benelux as part of his internship, which again was a part of his university course. A staggering feat when you consider the likes of the ESWC and World Cyber Games are run by full time companies.
Everything from Counter Strike 1.6, Call of Duty 4 and the divide between casual and competitive players is discussed in one of the best video interviews ever conducted. You can watch the video interview here.
