alot of the asians, can read and write english properly, but its hard for them to understand, in this case he can understand english but cant talk english well enough for his own standards to not feel embarassed.
ya it's true, most of the asians can read and write , or hear english well, but it's hard to speak english well because the structure of language is so different and we mostly learn english only with textbooks
