okay as an african gammer....from kenya
where were the other africans? no egyptians no gambians? just south africans? can't call it continental then. I am however happy that SK showed some intrest.I can only speak for part of the kenyan gamming community by saying that our biggest challenge is playing online.Console gamming as been really popular as well as some pc gamming not so much ,but some friends of mine still hold some lan parties in kenya.
ITs good that you hold LAN parties and its a shame if other parts of Africa had not taken part but all I can say is keep trying ^_^ Every country that wants to be involved just has to keep pushing forward and helping their community in their own way!
The organization that ran this event is a complete joke, and is partly responsible for the fact that no other African teams took any interest in it. Can't have people who are responsible for board/figure games in SA trying to now get involved in Gaming and think they know everyone. Just a inside bit on how it really worked :D
Well as an egyptian gamer...most of wat u say is right, but there are cyber cafes with excellent pcs which i tbh play on like 5 - 6 hrs a day...however most egyptian gamers tend to play online games like Silkroad and ofc Warcraft III....however being in the best egyptian counter strike team, that won last years ESWC qualifications for cs but couldnt travel due to visa problems, we hardly find good counter strike teams to compete against thats y we play on esl and sometimes lan!...well if SA did invite us to this event we would have come...the best thing in egypt is there are alot of youth that arent interested in studyin and are 24hr addicted gamers!
That Lady is A LIVING LEGEND!!! She actually is the reason South African CoD4 is moving forward...
and ye shes peerty :Dhaha
and Thanks SK for coming down was awesome sorry to make you play a game you never have played before was still cool meeting famous international players :D
