Big deal...the dudes mouth doesn't move. Im not even surprised if the guy doesn't speaks english. It's not like you're used to having headphones that isolate sound during matches...
With all due respect Carmac, what is the point of this video?
(1) He's dead.
(2) He doesn't talk after he takes off his headphones.
(3) It's clear from interviews that e-STRO does not speak english well, not to mention that I can barely understand the commentator and I'm a native english speaker.
(4) e-STRO loses that round.
(5) e-STRO loses the match.
If TaZ did it, then shame on him as well (he was very quick to put the headphones back on, though). Those are things you just don't do in tournaments and players _know it_. The rule is there for a reason.
"It is clear that the Koreans either did not take the trouble to read the rules before entering the tournament (?!) or they were cheating intentionally. Three rounds taken from their score was not enough to save Fnatic."
The "cheating" that e-STRO did was solo going up on the big red rock, not seeing anyone and dropping down and losing 55 hp. It had no absolutely no outcome on the match, aside from solo losing 55 hp to get to a spot he could have just walked to. Obviously, a rule is a rule so they got 3 round deduction placed against them. But to claim they were "cheating intentionally" is laughable as solo going up there that round hurt them more than it benefited them, not to mention they lost 3 rounds from their total score.
Next, you claim that x3o is unsportsmanlike and partly at fault for MoB throwing the match against them. It was obvious that MoB was just screwing around so that x3o got more rounds because they're friends, but why are you blaming x3o for this? What are they supposed to do in this situation other than kill them? Just because a team is rushing you with knives doesn't make you unsportsmanlike for killing them.
Back to e-STRO, you make this comment: "Had the referee noticed eSTRO cheating as they were doing it, maybe Fnatic would have made it this year." The referees DID see eSTRO "cheating" as it was happening, it was the very last round. His spot had no effect on the round, and eSTRO won it to win 22-18. The admins then followed ESWC rules and took away 3 rounds from eSTRO. The admins did exactly the job they were supposed to do, and there is no way that fnatic should have advanced.
Rules are rules really, if you break them knowingly, then you cheat. Explain to me why the Korean went there in the first place? Did his mind wander off somewhere? Did he perform a completely pointless action in perhaps the most important match of the year without a reason?
I really agree with you NR1_FLATRA_FAN thinks exactly the same , i don't really like how the article tell things ...
It's your point of view Carmac ...
Chill out haha, like I said. If you were used to taking your headphones off when dead, im pretty sure you would take them off when dead during a ESWC Final och stage when probably several 10 thousands of people are watching the match. For you people with no experience of important matches, you basically cancel out everything in the world when you play a match like that, you are so in the game that it doesn't matter at all. Your emotions take control more than you think, and you aren't used to it. So to sum it up for you with no experience,
1. If he is used to taking his headphones off, then taking his headphones off during a final and important match like that on stage when extremely a lot people are watching is normal.
2.If he isn't used to taking his headphones off when dead, it's STILL normal because of the circumstances. Emotions take over and you act quicker than you would in a normal situation.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8e6X9NeE5M8&fmt=18 @ 4:20 TaZ does the exact same thing bail does in this video.

So to sum it up, this is bullshit.
