Street Figher is like one of the only games I have seen where fans actually go crazy and start raving like that, screaming "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHH".Games like those is what we need in eSports. Only clapping after every win simply means its boring and its like something spectators are obliged to do.
I really hope Street Figher 4 can go further then just Evo. The series has been in the shadows for a long time and I think SF4 really shines light back to the game.
The CS finals @ ESWC 2007 was like that, 2500 people going absolutely nuts. But agreed, part of the magic of SF4 competitions is that everyone can get into it, even people who never play. The noise made by the die-hard fans gets the non-fans into it as well... fighting games were designed for competition like this.
