gm won the last season everyone was waiting for information about the 2006 schedule. The big official announcement will follow this coming Friday but today some details have already hit the net. The biggest piece of information to be released today is that of compLexity attending WEG. The ESWC 2005 Champion had been invited by the WEG organisers and they accepted it's invitation to move to Korea from 8th April to 7th May to play in the first WEG event of 2006. The other top American team Team 3D has declined WEG's invitation because of their inability to field a full lineup.
This news also reveals that the WEG Masters 2006 will be an invite only event, and there won't be any qualifiers as many people assumed at first. Speculation is that there will be 1 or 2 American teams, 2 Asian teams and 4 to 5 European teams invited but to know who accepted the invites we will have to wait untill Friday.
