QuakeCon: ID announces new game

As well as the breath taking competition taking place over at QuakeCon, there have been a number of announcements from ID Software as well.
- ID Software's next game will be named "Rage". It will be both an FPS and Racing game. You can check out a small (1.26) trailer of the game here.
- QuakeCon 2008 is confirmed, but for a week earlier this time. It will start July 31st ending August 3rd, it will also remain at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas.
- ID are currently working on Quake Zero, a free web version of Quake3 which is in development. The game will be supported by advertising.
- There will be a Quake 5 for the new id tech 5 engine, but there is no ETA on the project.
- ID Software will be putting all their titles on Steam from right now. Including Doom & Quake, but will not include ET:QW, nor ET.
- European ET:QW release date will be the 28th of September and the US release date will be the 2nd of October.
- Academy Award®-winning screenwriter, Roger Avary, will write and direct the Return to Castle Wolfenstein live action motion picture.
- QUAKE Arena Arcade: Coming to Xbox Live in partnership with Microsoft and Pi Studios.
