Ever since Snajdan left SK a few months ago, we have been looking for a fifth player to complete the Counter-Strike squad. Due to various online leagues and tournaments the try-out have been somewhat public, even though we have tried to keep it as secret as possible. The Swedish talents striker and Red were tested during this period and after a few matches and many praccs together the team choose to stick with striker, who has been playing together with them for quite a while now. Today SK are happy to announce Emil 'striker' Westerberg as the fifth player of SK. Emil is 18 years old and lives in Stockholm, Sweden. He has already adapted to our way of playing. With the help of the others, he will develop and grow even more. The result will be super!" says the SK leader Andreas 'bds' Thorstensson. First of all, welcome to SK! How does it feel?
Hi and thank you! It feel's good and im very excited to be playing with the team.
How did you first get in contact with SK?
Well! I did play a lot with some of the guys before the clan offer came forward and then allen asked me if I wanted to play some with the team and I said yes.
Why do you think SK picked you?
I dont know, maybe they felt secure with me or they like how I play.
For those who doesn't know, what was the real story about you & Red trying for SK?
Haha I knew that question would pop up! It was when I first started playing with SK and they didn't think I was serious enough for the team, so they tried out Red for a while but they kept telling me that I still had a good chance to get in. So basicly I just waited for the final desicion and then a message came and I was asked if I wanted to play with them again and here I am.
What are your strenghts and what do you think you will be able to bring to the team?
I bring more pain to the game.
For those who doesn't know you, who is striker?
Well my name is Emil Westerberg im 18 years old and I live in Stockholm! Been playing since the release of version Counter-Strike 1.3!
Have played in some smaller teams like icsu,checksix,4Kings. Besides playing Counter-Strike I like hanging out with my friends and go out to enjoy house music, else I'm just a regular guy who has played too much Counter-Strike.
What have you done previously in your gaming career?
Well I have been around the scene various times with some smaller teams but nothing to compare to SK so this is pretty much the real start of my professional career.
You are fairly young for a progamer, what have inspired you to become a professional?
It was basicly my goal when I felt that I really enjoyed playing the game. I wanted to reach the next level of my game all the time.
Next up for SK is GameGune, what do you think about your chances there?
Yeah! If we stick to our gameplan and everything floats ingame we should be able to take the first place I'm pretty sure of it!
