After a struggling 2006 we did some early changes in 2007 and felt that it was what we needed to get back on track. Christian is a great player and a friend, and we wish him the best of luck in the future.
"Christian will be greatly missed, but I hope we will play those rounds of golf we always talked about in the future!" says bds.
"Not only has Christian spent the peak of his career at SK Gaming, but he was also the star of our latest video. I am sure he won't forget that. We are looking forward to meet him at future gaming related events." says TheSlaSH.
Mattias "Snajdan" Andersen has also decided to call it quits, but not just from SK but from gaming and Counter-Strike in general. After the SEC victory he suffered motivation problems, and decided to move on, away from gaming. Is this the last we will see from Snajdan who has stopped a couple of times before? No one really knows, but we wish him the best of luck as well!
"I am sure Snajdan will succeed in what ever he decides to do, he is very determined and a great character" says bds.
The big question is now, who will be the 5th SK player?

Changes in SK Counter-Strike
After a couple of months with an inactive role in SK, we are sad to announce the departure of Christian "vilden" Lidström, a key force behind the success in 2005 with two CPL victories.

Even if SK finds a new player, 1.6 is coming to an end because Valve is actively handicapping the game in favor of CS: Source. At one point the SK players need ask themselves if they want to continue their carreer as an esport player. After all, who knows if high prize money 1.6 tournaments will around next year. One thing is for sure the future is Source. So why not switch now? It is never too early to switch, but it can be too late.
... source? SK need ask themselves why not switch to CoD! Or poker?... it has way more to do with 'counter-strike' than CS:S
