Belial2 years ago oh no problem man you're welcome :) it's always cool to talk with people about Metal especially on a non-Metal website :)
Yeah I post on Metal Archives (and also in the DarkLyrics forums too, but there's it's more rare, I communicate with people there with PMs though :p), but I kind of "limit" myself there, I only post when I'm sure of what I'm saying, I know my Metal knowledge is pretty much limited compared to the guys there so I post only when I know what I'm talking about.
About Prog and Power Metal, well Power Metal I really can't stand it :p it just sounds too "happy" for me :D while I'm more tolerant towards Progressive Metal, although I can't really listen to it for a long period of time :)
I also can't stand Malmsteen and the such :p but seeing them live (well, watching them for me :p) is indeed pretty nice.
About Wormphlegm, well what I like about it is the atmosphere, although the emotions aren't the "sad" ones here, but rather "torture" emotions, and it seems like it was recorded in hell itself :D as strange as it may sound, I love hearing such stuff in music (torture sounds, screamings, cryings etc...), and n, I'm not a psychopath or whatever lol :p . If you like that stuff :p or you're interested in similar stuff, check out the following bands: Senthil, Stabat Mater (mainly for the track Give Them Pain), Woods of Belial (especially the demo, it's got a really weird name I can't remember it, too difficult to be remembered :p), Khanate etc...
About buying music & downloading it.. well, I only rely on downloading music now :( there used to be a store which could order CDs from foreign countries, but now it's just closed :/ and it was the only one one the whole country that we could rely on. I've got most of my small collection from there... the "best" CDs I've seen here are Metallica, Nirvana, Guns N'Roses etc... CDs :/
Belial2 years ago hehe thanks :)
Yeah Doom is my favourite Metal genre :p it's the music that has the most emotions, the most feelings etc... if you see what I mean (that's my opinion, of course :D).
In general, I prefer "feelings" to "technique", but that doesn't mean that I don't appreciate technical stuff. (although I really hate guys/bands like Malmsteen, Satriani etc... and I also don't really like Power nor Prog Metal :p)
