Hello!

My name's Alan and as you may know, I'm not French. Hopefully Mr. Thorstensson will add Monaco in the list of countries in the near future. :)

I started gaming at a young age with the doom-like classics such as Quake. I was about 11/12 (if I remember correctly) when I really got into it with Counter-Strike 1.3, and never stopped playing it since then. 2004 was my SK fanboy year with the whole Insider community, hardcore gaming but must importantely the year where I discovered a real passion for eSports and newsing. I therefore started submitting a bunch of scene news, helped with a few articles, traveled to various events such as ESWC. Thanks to a few people (iantje, dTm not to name them), I got into the SK staff, first of all as a SK Insider admin then as a Counter-Strike newser. A few months later, very important exams were around the corner and a few additional "mistakes" such as buying World of Warcraft, quitting Counter-Strike and my SK job, leveling 4 different characters, joining top french guild Millenium, etc, did not help at all. The story goes on, joined other random guilds, newsed over at Curse but my World of Warcraft phase is officially over. And yes, I do regret taking this step back. I'll finish writing this as soon as I have the time.
