My name is João Ferreira, I’m 21 years old, born in Lisbon, Portugal, main house at Pinhal Novo, Palmela but currently living and working at Ferragudo, Portimão.

I started in this art in the middle of 2005. It all begun when me and a best friend of mine decided to proof our “innocence” in a computer game. We were being accused of using cheats to be better than the others, so the best way to done it was making a movie. We collected some replays of our matches and I started making the movie.

With the amount of information about moviemaking we had back then, was pretty impossible doing something “amazing”. I really didn’t knew programs such as Sony Vegas or Adobe After Effects, after all the only video editing program we know was/is Windows MovieMaker. I decided to start using Sony Vegas and actually saw that wasn’t too hard making something “acceptable” with it.

At the end, the movie was a totally disaster, but the main objective of it was acomplished. We were, “again”, clean but most importantly, respectul players.

Couple of months later, another best friend of mine, which at that time was and still is, one of the best Medal of Honor players, another computer game, was recording his “big” matches. He asked me if I wanted to edit one of them, just to try to improve and do something creative. I accepted and this was my second attempt in Sony Vegas.. At that time, an awesome Counter-Strike: Source movie was released, and my video was truly inspired on it. Some months ago, that movie from me, was considered by the Medal of Honor portuguese community, has one of the best Medal of Honor movies ever.

After this, I found a portuguese forum where I could express “my art”, my opinions, get some opinions and advices and know some portuguese people that knew that same as I knew. With this, me and some other guy decided to form, at that time, the only portuguese moviemaking community. ‘iGameMedia’ was formed. We established some good connections with partners, and in short period, wasn’t a surprise for us, we were the best portuguese community that ever existed. That community combined talent, creativity, editing skills.. But unfortunely, and due to internal problems, I decided to leave 6 months later. We were later 2006, beginning 2007..

In the beginning of 2007, I found myself alone, again, in this art, but this time, I knew that I was capable of doing something bigger than the last time. So my thoughts became real when in 13th of February 2007 I decided to officially launch ‘errormedia’. Errormedia had one main goal: “fight” against iGameMedia. The idea of the launch was to help the moviemaking communities and users all around the world, answering to their doubts, making video tutorials with cool tricks of the main moviemaking programs, such as, Sony Vegas and Adobe After Effects.. We decided to launch a web forum, wasn’t really something extraordinary at that time, because and at least, iGameMedia had a beatiful website and against that I couldn’t do anything about it.

I knew that I had to do anything to conquer the portuguese moviemaking community. Video tutorials was the right answer to it and couple of months later, iGameMedia was turning dead and.. errormedia was climbing up every day. The first 6 months couldn’t be better. Errormedia were the first moviemaking community in Portugal, 1000 register and active members in the forum, with tutorials at youtube.com and with links to the main moviemaking communities from all the over the world.

The top of errormedia was when the director of FuturTech, the biggest technological event in Portugal, asked us if we could do the main trailer for the event, the media trailer for the media partners, and an opening trailer being showed to almost 1000 people at the beginning of the event. The future of errormedia was estabilished, people loved, in the next days I couldn’t be more happy having people contacting me and sending me emails asking if I could do the same of the clans/events/communities etc.

After this, the next step was registering errormedia as a national trademark. Objective acomplished. And so basically, today I’ve got my own “company” and working in what I really like to do. Wasn't easy to be honest, but the most important is to get what you want and do what you want to do. Gave up of doing movies/trailers just for fun, now its a serious business.

Because now.. being moviemaking an art, a global business, weCREATEyourwishes.
