The story of Endarspire: (warning: Very bad spelling, and very boring info, read on your own risk. I wont take responsibility for the time you will waste.)

I found out about Warcraft from a guy in my class back in 2002/2003. Since I had played alot of Command & Conquer games before I figuerd I would give the game a chanse. It should also be known that at this time I did not have internet connection and therefore only played the campain etc.

I continued to play alot of WC3 for quite a while, enjoying time killing the computer on different dificulty levels. And when we finally got an internet connection in 2004 it all went pretty fast. I started playing rt as probably meny of us did back when we just discoverd online playing. And I knew nothing about professional gaming or professional players. (it should also be known that this was back when the old AMM system was still in use). And there I was playing my 4 vs 4 games like every other beginner. Figuring out new build orders and new strategies day by day.

And then there was the big breakthrough. I remeber the day as it was yesturday. I was playing my normal 4vs4 games when one of my classmates called. I could hear that there was something very important going on since the poor guy was almost screaming in the phone. This was his words:

Friend: You can never guess what I found!
Me: Tell me!
Friend: I found a webpage with Warcraft replays!
Me: Really?
Friend: Yeah! And guess what! You can even see what ladder level they are on! Guess the level of one of the guys I found a replay of are!
Me: uhum, I dunno (at this time the highest level I probably seen ever was about 20) maybe 24 or something?
Friend: NO! he is level 50!!

At this time I totaly lost it. I had never thought anybody could be higher than prehaps level 24. And to here that somebody managed to reach level 50 was just to much. My friend gave me the adress to the site and I found the replay he was talking about.

And it was a Night Elf mirror. Between Armateam.apm70 and 4k.Zeus[19]. The game took place on The Two rivers (which was a ladder map back then) and zeus went for a archer/hunt push with towers. Deadman though went for a dryard tech strat. Zeus won and I had just found myself a new idol. (funny thing is that several years later this very idol ended up flaming me for about one hour after a WC3L game^^)

I think I watched that replay over 20 times. I used a notebook to write down each and every building that where made and what units. And then tryed to apply it into my RT games. And I continued to watch replays from the site and sooner or later I even found out about other sites that uploaded replays from this "really good players". One of those sites was WCReplays.

And at this time I was kind of getting a little bit tierd of my 4vs4 games and started to get into solo games more and more. Eventually I ended up getting some contact with some Swedish Clans that where really populare at that time. One of them was clan KoMa, which by the way still is a active team. And from that base I got into my first team. TNO. It was just a gathering of different swedish players who loved to play the game and everyone of us had the dream to become a "good player" one day. I played and played and one day the Clan leader decided that it was time to challange a Clan for a so called "clan war". It was all a big event for all of us. When the strange team came into our channel and we started to make the lineup I was so nervous I could hardly write a thing. This was serious buissnis for sure! The team we faced was called AOTK. I played against a player called Dark_Arthaz which was a Human player that I had talked to in Frozen Throne SWE-1 some weeks before. And it was all very exciting that it was just him that I should play against. I ended up winning the game which took place on Twisted meadows and ofcourse my oponent was very angry and dissapeard out of the channel immediately after the game. And my preformance had not went by unoticed. I was shortly after promoted to the rank of shaman and took this obligation very serious. And this ladys and gentlemen was the beginning of my chareer within managment.

The funny thing about this particulare Clan War was that this team shortly after became my home. I went from TNO to AOTK with the promiss that I would one day be able to play in a real team leauge. I was excited as ever. I trained so hard to become better and one day be just as good as the best players in AOTK, and maybe, just maybe be able to play with some of the guys in KoMa. Time went by and I was promoted to shaman also in this team. And I also came in contact with the swedish Warcraft community site called gamingeye. Time went by and I started to get into the community more and more. And AOTK became better and better. And it was at this time when I decided that becoming a profesional player maybe wasnt my "call". I loved the game with all of my heart but I didnt seem to have the "talent" or the brains to climb those extra steps that my clanmates obviosly did. So I decided to focus my attension on management. I joined the gamingeye crew in 2005 and started to write news. At this time I had already got to know the "big" warcraft community" and I watched events such as ESWC and WCG as it would have been the Olympics it self. Anyway, I had always had a hard time with my spelling. Both in Swedish and in English. So to work as a writer for a newsite was a real challange for me. Which I soon noticed. The focus of my news was not on the news itself but on my in meny cases wrong spelled words. And yes, maybe the critisism I got then was right. Maybe I was a terrible writer and not fit for this job. But my love for the game was stronger than any flame or critisism that the people thrown at me. And I kept on writing. And as the years past I became not only better at writing. I became more serious with my team manager chareer.

You may remember the team I wrote about earlyer called AOTK. This team which was my first gleam into the world of Warcraft III became my home for meny years. And some of the people I met there is people I today hold as some of my best friends. And I have met them all several times in real life. As time passed buy our team became more and more serious and meny of the players that had been with us from the beginning had now stoped playing Warcraft. But the few of us that continued to invest time in the game was very determend to become professional. During this time we saw meny teams come and go. And I would like to name some of them. cZar, Drz, Tdon was maybe our biggest rivals in the swedish scen. It's a shame either of them excists today.

And profesonall we became. Or atleast we thought so ourselfs. We managed to get into a German organization called Bioxar where we spend some time. But after a while we left and became AOTK again. And that continued for quite a while. We went from organization to organization but never really seemed to get where we wanted. So one day we made a decision. We should no longer chase after the big sponsors or the big organizations, we should let them come to us. When time was ready we would become professional. When we had the results to show we would no longer need to worry about that. So we kept on investing time in the game and sooner or later the results came. I would like to say that we where pretty much semi professional when we reached the top. And that resulted in the beginning of the end for our team. When it seemt like we finally had became what we had worked for so long people seemed to lose intrest. One by one they droped out of the team. The persons I had spents to much time with for such a long time found other things in life that they wanted to spend more time with. And for me, who still loved the game this caused a problem. This was when I created my first "professional" team together with Excello. With rising talents such as DowaQ, Thorzain and Effect I took the final step into being professional with what I was doing. And this is basicly where we end up today.

Nowdays I am not working as a team manager more. Atleast not for a organization. I felt that I wanted to try some other things too and applyed as a WC3L admin. Which is where I am today. Also I would like to add that I have jumped around alot in time when telling this story. I have left out parts that was probably very crusual for me (such as my first Dreamhack) but that I somehow does not feel to write about at this moment. You should keep in mind that this story moves over a timeline from the beginning of 2004 until now. Meny jumps have been done any meny parts have been left out. And I know that some of the things I have wrote may not be exactly as they where. And just to not leave anybody out I would like to thank some of the persons from the old times that have ment alot to me during my gaming career. And im sorry I if forget anybody, you know I dont mean any harm.

Peppert, Koen, Skinfaxe, Bass, Anarion, Jocke, Caile, Brankan, Farmerforce, Nicke, scrooge, Onion, Jack, and all you others who I have had the pleasure to meet both online and in real life! I love you all!
