I miss when there was CPL and WCG. The two big tournaments of the year, when there wasn't a community divided between two games. I get that CGS might appeal to a wider public, but I loved watching CPL matches between the best teams of the world, so also those from the US.

I miss when PCWs existed for the purpose of practicing, when no words were exchanged except some respectfull, kind greetings and compliments. People were understanding and patient, probably because they, like myselve, were total noobs. It was far more professional when there was no professional structure it seems. Now, if you win you're cheating. If you lose you're terrible. Either way, 1 out of 5 matches make it to halftime it seems.

I miss when everyone pubbed, even competitive players. I miss when the community wasn't overrun with the e-thug epidemic. I miss when people didn't talk shit about other teams/players to make it seem that they are better, when in fact they got shut down by these teams. I miss when I could just say `that's a good team`, about a topteam, without everyone saying how bad they are, and that they've beaten that team with a mix 16-4. Most people that play this game are just regular people, but behind a computer it seems fewer and fewer can keep it that way. I was guilty of that myself here and there, I must admit, but only to blatant hackers would I run my mouth.

I miss when it seemed like everyone played this game for the love of it and the fun of it and used that as a common ground to treat each other with a sense of decency. That is so far gone now it's unbelievable. I no longer have any aspirations with this game outside of lan tournaments, where no one can be fake, where you can run your mouth, but still have to proove it.
