Well i think with the information i have about the situation i can hardly support the RPC government there. The medias in france are rather supporting TW so its hard for french people to have a totally unbiased view on the debat.
oh and as your from NZ what do you think about the FRANCE-UK match of tonight ? ~.~
Excuse my curiosity but, how is france and french people saw from NZ?

Well, i'am not really into the subject since TW is not really in the media'as highlights in France.
But I try to stay informed about that kind of things around the world so i can give you my opinion even if i must not be informed enough.
Well, from what i know TW is what remains of the pre-mao china and that is what explain why during a long time, U.S. were only supporting TW trade and somehow ignoring CHINA. ( i think TW was the only recognized china at a time and RPC wasnot the one coming to the U.E as china , correct me if i am wrong). So, as TW and RPC evolved in a totally different way during a long time i think they partly lost the "link" that existed between them. Even if both population are "chinese" i think a taiwanese can be recognized as different from a "taiwanese".
And even if they are the same in many point i think that the Autodetermination concept of the 1948 declaration of humans rights is the way to solve the problems. And as it seems that taiwanese prefer to stay independant, i think things should be like that.
That's why i think RPC governements are the ones to blame there and the way they are brainwashing chinese's brain concerning that kind of subjects looks scary.
I am sorry my english is not good enough to let me have a deep conversation concerning such a subject and my sentences might be wrongs and unorganized :x
