I played DAoC a lot yes, but I'm afraid I disagree with you. I find WoW vastly superior to DAoC is basically all ways, I won't go into it more than that. Every time me and my guild mates start talking about DAoC, we end up laughing because we remember how stupid it was. Then again, I have friends who feel exacly like you do, that DAoC owned and WoW sucks, so to each his own!
I can however agree with you to some extent, if it's roaming pvp you want, then WoW has nothing to offer, whilst DAoC did. It looks like the new expansion for WoW will have a emain-esque zone, so maybe that will lure the roaming lovers. Not that it matters, I bet WoW has like 95% of the mmo-player base (at least the non-asian) already though!
