bensen played like a lvl20 solo player. he failed in every aspect...he had 25 xp gained at the end of the game.
this time it defenetly wasnt any orc-imbalance.
It's just a fucking RTS, not a RPG ! Dont need to have a lvl 10 hero to win...
BenSen had a nice macro for sure, and WhO didn't creep that much... But NE needs to be T3 whereas Orcs can stay at T2 and win. Here is the point.
You know why every Night Elf need to play DoTT to win? Because playing an imbalanced tactic is the only way to beat another imbalanced one !
But it is an indicator of how good you game is running, when you got lvl1 and your enemy's hero is 3.
I often play DH/Hunts vs Orc and harass until i got bears. i stay level 1 very long in these games, but my enemy does too, cause no one can really creep.
Your argument is clearly negatively influenced by your emotions which is sad because you do have a point. Even if it's slightly misguided.
I felt that BeNseN had a chance that game, despite having a low level KotG as he disrupted WhO's wood intake as well as delaying his lodge for considerable time. This, in itself, is a viable strategy for NE (and to a lesser extent UD). I agree with you on this part.
But BeNseN also made critical mistakes, which you cannot do at this level of the game. He lost way too many wisps to a solo BM harass (negating a lot of the work he did to subdue WhO's wood intake) and he chased around an illusion of a SH at one point, giving WhO plenty of time to creep. Also, no TP at the last fight was a poor choice :P
What you said about Orc being imbalanced does have some truth to it, but your argument about Orc only needing T2 being unfair simply doesn't hold water. The races aren't the same. Yes NE need t3 but (as you said yourself) can win with low level heroes. Name another race that can do this as a long term strategy?
All races have strengths and weaknesses. This game wasn't won by imbalance and I believe, a lot closer than it appears in the results. BeNseN just got outplayed.
Just compare Kotg and raider:
Kotg Takes 5 food,, Raider takes3 food
Raider Got higher hp
Raider got lower cost
Kotg ensnare duration shorter on hero and on unit than ensnare duration
Entangle is dispellable, ensnare is NOT.
Raider got slightly higher speed
Ensnare is relaunchable on a unit already ensnared.
Ensnare got better cooldown, and is mana-free
raider needs t2
raider cant carry items
raider has no aura
raider cant summon trees
raider cant use tranqulity
entangle does damage, ensnare does not
do you see? pretty lame comparison
and the comparison i made has a point kef.
to sum it up it gives:
ensnare is as efficient as entangle about duration
ensnare is not dispellable
ensnare is free, and low cooldown
That is a bit too overpowered since when 1 rider with this is out, u get like a kotg, so u can push with bm sh 1 rider and 3grunts as if u had 3 heroes, just like all orcs do.
Thus, riders give to orc an unfair map control since if you cross them you have 0 chance to escape, whatever ur unit speed etc...
Later in the game when orc got over 3 riders, he can blok a hero constantly, thats a problem as well

ensnare duration: 12(2 on heroes), cooldown: 12 seconds.
entangle duration: lvl 1 - 9(3 on heroes) cooldown: 8 seconds, but that's just on lvl 1.
entangle also has range of 80 while ensnare has range of 50.
anyway, you're right that ensnare is very strong for a unit ability, but every race got imba things in it, hu towers+fe, ne staff, ud nuke, orc ensnare and bm..
1) Bm ww and Bm criticals
The first gives free mh, and moreover how many game i saw bm soloing an army in cj while all orc army is doing a red spot with sh or tc...
The second might not be nerfed much according to me, Bm is meant to do dmg, the matter is his too strong map control thx to ww, so only a slight nerfed should be thought, or no nerf at all, but then with some armor reduce, since a DPS hero has no reason to be a tank hero as well
2) Rider ensnare: to read above..
3) Sh Healing wave
Note: i know hex is really strong, but it's dispellable so for me its not imba
Healing wave is way too strong, cuz when an orc got sh level 3 with any intelligence item, the heal he provides is way too strong compared to any other race, especially when considering it suits really well with chain of "spreading dmg"
the problem is, that all these strong things go together so damn well. incredible synergie.
the BM would never be so strong, if there was no ensnare or hex, cause you could just run from him.
ensnare and hex would never be so strong, if there was no BM being able to put out an insane amount of damage on the focused target.
healing wave would never be so strong, if there was no spirit link. otherwise you could just focus down single targets, but it takes less damage and healing wave is able to heal up far more HP, cause every unit takes some damage. spirit link also makes healing scrolls so strong for orc.
without these synergies, orc would be strong, but not imba. but the combination of all these things makes it really hard to win vs an orc who plays as good as you do.
Let's face it. Either quit the game, chance race (to orc), or stop whining. I mean this with the utmost sincerity.
But it's the case with the standard orc strat, which doesnt need any adaptation, or barely any.
That's why there's obviously something wrong somwhere with orc
But indeed i think like jarvs, there won's be any patch, or mb 1 and crappy one.
Just 1 example: mb blizzard will say "ok we buff ud to help vs orc" and then they screw still more the UD vs NE match up
