Rematch of HoT vs FocuS from KotH.
and Grubby vs ToD from Extreme Masters.
This matchup is more imba than UD Orc imo...
Not that "better" and "worse" here can really be defined, but when you see hu loosing 5 peons, then tower Orc base, loose AM lvl 3 plus 9 footies sucide on greatly microed pults and still wins, it s just...
Here it seems to be the same but you need to look at it in a different way:
Tod did a fast creep. It's normal to lose 3 peons. He killed the peons himself. So what do we have now, a level 2.5 AM against a 0.3 Blademaster. Grubby teched fast -> units disadvantage.
Tod recognized the close position. For me it was the most obvious thing, that Tod will TR. Imagine Grubby not going T2 immediately. Tod would have failed horribly.
Now the next thing for Tod is, that the towers needs to be up, because this is the win. Now you see Grubby killing some footies and Tod not microing. So it looks like Grubby's micro > Tod's. BUT the goal of Tod is to kill the upcoming towers, not to save units. It's better to lose a footman, who does one hit more instead of saving him. The same against catapults. I think this is the thing the most orc players don't see. Losing AM after 6 towers are up doesn't matter. It was one before. It the same if an orc loses the hero, when there are 6 orc towers in front of the human base. It's just lost. It was lost as soon the first 2 - 3 towers are up.
You say 2.5 am vs 0.3 blademaster, well what is grubby supposed to do? if he doesn't harass, am hits 3 and it's gg, and even if he harasses he is immediately more than 1 lvl behind.
Seems easier for the human.
Well this is my opinion.... It seemed to be easier for orcs to beat undeads too but there are some undeads, who just changed strategy and win...
