malz is more squishy but he's much more op than brand actually, which is quite bad if not well played.

Malz better in 1v1 and Brand better in teamfight, you have to choose, I think Malz is actually one of the best choice solomid, he get a nice range and his E just pown

Malzahar for sure. His ulti is perfect for picking off people in a team fight and his silence can target multiple people.

Malzahar, his ultimate its very nice if you have a support, you focus their carry and your supporter shields you. I see Brand as a very incomplete champion.

I play Malza, but i think Brand is more usefull in teamfights with his aoe skills, which making bigger damage than Malzahars.

Personally I find brand more threatening because his ult (if he has enough AP) alone can make you lose a team fight, or if you think you've gotten away with 2-3 of your team mates at low health and he ults one of you and you're a bit too close to one of your team mates you're both dead.

However Malzahar can definitely put out a lot more damage on one target so if you're looking for someone to burst down one target he would be the better choice, also his silence is pretty useful if targeted well.
