Imagine, if you can, some 50 odd years of mutual white hot rage, all being unleashed.The result is destruction on a massive scale.I think it was Barak who declared it would be a war to the "bitter end".That being said, if Hamas had the means to wipe Israel off the face of the earth, they would have done so already.They are by no means the helpless victims they love the Western media to portray them as.I'm well and truly on the fence for this, but there is a piece of me that almost admires the Israeli's - They will do whatever they think they must, consequences be damned.

Sorry to say but according to the BBC this one was Israel's fault but the atrocities committed are astounding and beyond pointing fingers back and forth I just hope to a timely and lasting solution for all parties...

What I meant was that the immediate reason behind this was (again, according to the BBC--I don't live there so I wouldn't know) that Israel didn't allow commerce into the Gaza strip to the extent that Hamas wanted so Hamas decided to start full scale attacks once again. But let me reiterate, I am not much concerned with pointing fingers nor going back and forth. What is important to me, and what is truly the worst part about it, is that there are attacks on civilians en masse.

Having been born in a country where genocide has taken place, I've grown disillusioned with the politicians of the world that decide how many innocent people's deaths are justifiable or excusable.

People are those that suffer; the politics of it I do not care for.

First of all. The reason for all the civilian casualties in this whole big mess is Hamas. When they decide to store their weapons and imortant supplies in war in tight civilised places its bound to kill innocent people. Also the fact that Hamas has been suicide bombing for ages now doesnt help it. Israel fights back ofcourse and when they aim for the chickenshit bastards who is Hamas and they again hide within the masses of civilians we do get innocent lives taken. What the media does is to only give one side of the story, that which in this case is that Israel has bombed civilians on te Gaza.

This isn't a defensive maneuver this is a planned annhiliation by Israel. It has been the systematic destruction tactics employed since the foundation of the Israeli state and will continue unchalleneged because of the lack of care by the rest of the world. How in God's name can you expect an oppressed people to just lie down and do nothing as their lands are constantly ceased,their children forced into an area without proppper ammenities..an area not meant to house 1.4 million people. This is a disgrace, unjust and Israel will pay for its actions.

my brother in religion or even better my middel easteren brother listen if you are jewish I would say Isreal isn't destroyed or never will be beause of god's will is to protect the people how believe in him.If not I will say the nabuchnezzar did took allot of jewish slaves to build him the legendary city that had the babylonian towers and the gardens wich everybody talekd about same as the Egyptian Farao's did. But this was a long time it's like some one hit me on the face I just go to hit him back at the same time and not wait till I get the optertunnity .I mean this is ridecolous in my eyes your living in a country wich is not yours you say you are did nothing but that can't be the true because the arabs did war's against you in the begin in 1948 you guys won it wit the help of english weapons and english military . And after that you took more ground I mean take ground but stop the greed and let's face it from the begin there were palestinian and isrealin people why not devide the land by half why take more land and isolate the places believe ou will think the walls will help you defend Isreal no the people will think now they are locked up and will do much more worse things.
