for me is 300,full metal jacket,band of brothers,pearl harbor, the soldier james rayn,platoon and the best is Duell - Enemy at the Gates :D

but unfortunately most people are too dumb to realize that or to care about it cause theyre fine when being fed with movies that are as dumb as they are themselves

Well my favourite is prolly Schindler's List (there isn't any fighting but overall movie is awesome, plot, acting, music, images...). I have seen a lot of war movies so it's really hard to pick my favourites (especially that most of them, e.g. American, are very similiar). Band of Brothers and Saving Private Ryan are awesome, no doubts.

From those "not-very-known" Stalingrad is very good. Also, not many people heard about Island on Bird Street and Train of Life (many people find it better than La Vita è bella). I've also seen two biographical movies about Hitler and Speer.

I will post a list of all movies that I recommend when I got some free time :)
