UEFA CL 1st knockout round draw

Celtic FC v FC Barcelona
Olympique Lyonnais v Manchester United FC
FC Schalke 04 v FC Porto
Liverpool FC v FC Internazionale Milano
AS Roma v Real Madrid CF
Arsenal FC v AC Milan
Olympiacos CFP v Chelsea FC
Fenerbahçe SK v Sevilla FC

predictions?

OMG !!! Liver vs Inter NICE Arsenal vs MILAN

GL Barcelona
Man Utd
Schalke
Liver
Real
Milan
Chelsea
Sevilla

Celtic x Barcelona,rematch
Arsenal x Ac milan where it would be interesting to see Arsenal a team of youngsters take on a Milan side with most of their players in their 30s.

Celtic < Barcelona
Lyon < Manchester United
Schalke 04 < Porto
Liverpool > Internazionale
Roma < Real Madrid
Arsenal < Milan
Olympiacos < Chelsea
Fenerbahçe > Sevilla

Celtic < Barcelona (will be tight, look at Celtics performances this and last year against AC Milan)
Lyon < Manchester United (Lyon might be able to get a draw at home, at best, but it will be finished off at Old Trafford)
Schalke < Porto
Liverpool > Inter Milan (Hard to call, think Liverpool have found a way of winning games even when they're playing poorly in the league etc)
Roma < Real Madrid (Another tough game, RM will probably lost in Italy as well and score lots in Spain to get them through)
Arsenal < AC Milan (LOL, as good as Arsenal are they screwed themselves by finishing behind Sevilla)
Olympiakos < Chelsea (Easy bash)
Fenerbahce < Sevilla (Easy bash, although there will be a score draw in Turkey)

I know it's their own fault, but I can't believe that two of the ties basically have the four of the bottom (read worst) five teams left in the competition. Arsenal and Liverpool/Inter Milan could go much further than Schalke/Porto or Fenerbahce/Sevilla ever could.

imo --> Barcelona, Manchester United, Porto, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Arsenal, Chelsea, Sevilla
Some matches seem to be interesting. GL

winners :
FC Barcelona
Manchester United FC
FC Porto
Liverpool FC
Real Madrid CF
Arsenal FC v AC Milan (probably the most interesting match, both teams are strong but I think Arsenal will make it)
Chelsea FC
Sevilla FC

Celtic FC < FC Barcelona , I don't care what anybody says about barcelona, they have a team filled with big game players. The bigger the games become the better barcelona will play

Olympique Lyonnais < Manchester United FC, lyon looked very weak in the groups, so it's a bad time for them to face manchester united.

FC Schalke 04 = FC Porto, haven't watched any of these teams, so I wouldn't know. I bet it will be close though

Liverpool FC < FC Internazionale Milano, liverpool has overachieved several years now in the champions league but not this year.

AS Roma < Real Madrid CF, roma isn't that great and real madrid is half dutch so I have to support them

Arsenal FC > AC Milan, milan is getting too old and they have won too much allready, you can't keep winning forever and this is where it will end for them.

Olympiacos CFP =< Chelsea FC, olympiacos shouldn't be underrated and chelsea shouldn't be overrated, a upset is quite possible. Especially if the last game is at home at olympiacos

Fenerbahçe SK < Sevilla FC, dunno & don't care

Celtic FC v FC Barcelona ---> Barca obviously

Olympique Lyonnais v Manchester United FC ---> hard one... id prefer Lyon, but ManU i guess

FC Schalke 04 v FC Porto ---> easy one for Porto

Liverpool FC v FC Internazionale Milano ---> Inter

AS Roma v Real Madrid CF ---> Real

Arsenal FC v AC Milan ---> Milan (dominating a national league and the champions league at the same time is rare... so Arsenal will win the premier league but lose to Milan, while Milan will suck in serie a but get far in the champions league as usual imo)

Olympiacos CFP v Chelsea FC ---> easy for Chelsea

Fenerbahçe SK v Sevilla FC ---> now who has more latin players, Sevilla or the "Turks"? :D ..anyways, Sevilla should win this

but inter can dominate a national league and the championsleague at the same time ?

i just dont like Liverpool :D

Maybe Inter pulls a '98 Man Utd :>

Celtic FC v FC Barcelona - Barca
Olympique Lyonnais v Manchester United FC - Man Utd
FC Schalke 04 v FC Porto - Porto, i'd like Schalke though.
Liverpool FC v FC Internazionale Milano - Liverpool
AS Roma v Real Madrid CF - Real Madrid
Arsenal FC v AC Milan - Arsenal
Olympiacos CFP v Chelsea FC - Chelsea
Fenerbahçe SK v Sevilla FC - Sevilla

test

I failed the test ^^

here are my predictions

Celtic > Barcelona
Lyon < Mancs
Shalke > Porto
Liverpool > Inter
Roma < RM
Arsenal < Milan
Olympiacos > Chelsea
Fenerbahce > Sevilla

You heard it here first

btw all of you saying "easy" for Chelsea and Sevilla are completely clueless

agree, but celtic > barcelona is a joke... allthough in knockout anything can happen.

Celtic < Barcelona
Lyon < Man U
Shalke < Porto
Liverpool < Inter - !!!!
Roma < RM
Arsenal > Milan
Olympiacos < Chelsea
Fenerbahce < Sevilla

with a small doubt for Arsenal - Milan game.

i dont see any chance for arsenal against ac milan. no matter how bad milan is in serie A, they are pure outstanding in CL.

said the Man Utd fan :p

Milan didnt look so rock solid in CL so far (true it was just the group stage), not to mention the Serie A...and Arsenal are on fire in prem and CL.That's reason enough to give them at least a "slight" chance.

i just tell the truth. they didnt look so convincing last group stage either, but when it comes to knock out stage, their experience will help them step over arsenal just like what they did against united at home last season.

Lyon have pretty good chance to upsets red devils. Don't forget that Karim Benzema is so far the best striker in Europe (15 goals). The clash of the goal machines and imo Lyon will though in the end.

I can't get why everybody underrates sevilla. Yeah, maybe the don't play as good as they played during last two years (current 8th possition in La liga is the proof) But there werent many changes in team rosters, which could keep good team chemistry. Sevilla was just unlucky at the beginning of this season. They will reach the CL semi final without any problems certainly (only in case of they wont face teams for premier league, spanish teams are not used to hard football)

Anyway i wich the best of luck to Olympique Lyonnais and btw does anybody know where will be played the CL final?

21st May, Luzhniki stadium, Moscow, Russia.

cool choice by uefa, the only disadvantage is artificial grass and visa problems for fans. ;P

Yesterday Lyon owerpowered CRéTEIL 4:0 and mr. goalmachine scored hattrick, so 18 goals by now.
