are you kidding me? The Avs only have Statsny, Sakic and Hejduk. Theodore has been struggling with his game forever. He's overhyped tbh.
The Sharks are a good team, they need consistency though. They have excellent attacking force, experienced defenders (McLaren, Rivet, Norton, Ozolinsh) but their goaltending raises questions: can Nabokov live up to it? In my opinion Sharks made a mistake by trading Toskala to Toronto and now they are paying the price.
From Western conference I would pick out the Canucks and Red Wings. The Canucks are the best away team by far, they have the material, experience - all of it. They have to stand up at home though.
The Red Wings have a good package as well, they didnt change their team much during off-season. They are an excellent home team and with Rafalski and Lidström playing power-play they will be the team to beat in play-offs.
Also look out for the Flyers/Sens/Hurricanes. The Flyers will grow into a team by spring and thus far they have made a tremendous impact. The Senators didnt change that much so they'll surely be a tough team. Since the Hurricanes failed to qualify last year they are eager to win the Cup again.

Yeah it's a very underrated sport. It's very hard to watch on tv though since the information and amount of space displayed on the camera is very limited. You need to really have an overview of the rink to really understand the plays and get a feel for what's happening. I would never watch a game on tv but I love to attend the Boston Bruins games!

Zipe nice predictions but
from West i will choose
Det,Min,Dal
and from East
Ott,Njd,NYR
one of these will win SC
Team with best improvment will be Chicago Blackhawks and Calder Memorial Trophy for Toews !

Eastern Conference is very tough this year. Theres only a 12 point gap between first and last team. Teams from 4th to 10th place are within a few points so it will be interesting to see which teams will make it to the playoffs!
Btw the Flyers have had the best improvement by far. Last season was a joke on their part. I would award Toews with the Calder Trophy too however. Kane is also good but Toews ftw.
