It's a psychological disorder called "BDD" (Body Dysmorphic Disorder), characterized by the persons preoccupation in an imagined defect in appearance, meaning they are never satisfied with how they look, even if there's something slight they notice in their physical appearance, they go crazy about it.

I used to know a girl like this in HS, she was a real nutcase, and sometimes we would just BS her about her face saying shit like "Oh you have something under your nose.. " and literally she looked in the mirror for 30 minutes trying to find it until someone told her it was nothing (like 10 times).

That is just cruel. :(
