Hey, am I blind or is the new website missing the 'retrieve password' function. It didn't work on the old version (all you got was an e-mail saying "here is your new password:" and then a blank space) so I was hoping to get my original account back once I saw a new version of sk-gaming.com had been released. So what's the take on this?

The function is there. If you miss-type your password, you will be forwarded to the retrieve password page.

Is there also a close-thread function?

Not at the moment, I guess it might be added for admins in the future though.
