Hey all I've been meaning to write this for sometime as I have a hard time with this. I play a lot of games solo, like wow, SC, quake3, CS1.6 and many more, mainly because I don't have many friends in RL who have any real interest in gaming.

I'm not the best at what I play, but I'm far from the worst. Could anybody share some experiences and advice on how they went about gaming and ending up having the the friends they have now.

Most of the people I've met online were friends in RL and they ended up playing whatever game with each other. For me this isn't possible because all my RL friends think gaming is for nerds/losers so, I'm not very vocal about gaming when in conversation.

Story of my life. Though I had (and I still have) enough good friends in real world.
