I guess it depends on the size of your hand, if you are a wrist or a arm aimer, etc. I have a considerably small hand and am a wrist aimer and the best mice I've used are the 1st fatal1ty mouse (really small and light) and the razer diamondback.

all got very good performance and are pretty good rated...i recommend copperhead even though it has the less comfort but you'll get used to it :D

3.0 is good, for leagues / tournaments razer deathadder, because you cant use usb tweak to make 3.0 higher hertz, but deathadder has better hertz. 3.0 is still just as good, legendary mouse, and the only thing that can compare is deathadder.

The ONLY new mouse with acceptable optics is deathadder... since MX518 and Krait there are a lots of laser devices, i hate them...
I've played with:
Razer Diamondback - very good sens, optics, and it was quite light weighted, so I like it;D
Logi G5 - thats a sh*t
1.1 IME and 1.1 WMO - no problem with the old MS optics, i found them very good (don't bind anything to the mousewheels, until u havent installed the driver!...) WMO > IME
MX518 - not bad, but i found it heavy and big for my hands... perfect optics, just not my mouse;)
MS3.0 - best for AK and colt shots, not bad for awm, but a little bit too "heavy"
Logi G1 - the best for me, i play with awm, and the mouse is small and quick enough for this
(try it on 5L ;D) do not use it on 500hz because its not stable, and sometimes it do ridiculous things... (turns:D) 250hz is perfect.
G5 vs MX518
Look I never recommend you to buy a G5, it was the worst business of my life. :D
G5 is totally the same as MX518... They say "G5 have removable weights..." Those aren't suit into their rack... I played with G5, so I know it. Than they say "G5 has laser optics!" O.K. than try to pull it with maximum speed on a big pad... (Mantis, 5L, QpadXXL etc.) Maybe it works with high sensitivity, than try it with LOW sensitivity... I can tell you, the mouse can't do it. You can play with the refresh rates, you can refresh the driver, it counts nothing, because the optics CAN'T read your quick, fast turns. MX518 is just fine. I tried to kill it in any way, and I was not able to do it. It done well under my hands, the only thing because I sold it that it was too big for my hands. So MX518 > G5 - and you have to pay a much lower price for MX518...
PS. My english is horrible, please excuse it. :D
