i saw that many ppls here in sk-gaming say they use 640x480 so i changed it to 640x480 and it was so bad!!! the game looked so wierd!! so much worse then 800 and the higher one (dont remmember the number) what should i do?

nothing...I had this thing too...just get used to it.

You don't have to change your resolution to 640x480 because the SK-players do. You have to feel comfortable going with your settings, thats what they do - a player plays 640x480 because he feels comfortable with that. my settings: 640x480 small yellow non translucent Yellow's just working awesome for me. I guess my monitor and graphic displays yellow pretty good, don't feel the same with the other colors. Green also works great, but that's probably because I'm used to it. A few years ago you were forced to play with a green crosshair, because there were no options to change it.

thats a word of a pro, lot of ppl just download pro configs and then they think theyre pro, but they arent its about the skill. The config doesnt really do anything except some video settings like 16/32 bit depth which makes you see throughs smoke little bit. Its important to by synchronized with your config not someone elses. OH NOES! I pressed the wrong reply button. This is supposed to be a reply to Astrens comment below!

Does many of you write large cross and 640 resolution coz u see it in configs of f0rest, spawn or msx? Large, medium, small, it doesnt matter if u are lame,but u can have a good kills with all theese, improve ur skill, many old school players play large and 640 coz they have been playing since 1.5 and earlier versions.In 1.5 u couldnt change crosshair size, on 640 was only large and it is only pros' habbit since that version. Choose any u like it can be small and 800, doesnt matter, just play much and ur aim will be better.

word! 640 Large is 1.3/1.5 style, only way to greatness is practice, practice and practice. Alot of good players use 800x600 medium/small.

Best crosshair is what you've used to use, imo. PS. Try to keep your settings the same, don't change your settings like socks, I've done that, it doesn't help, just try to keep your settings like you want and how are you used to play. GL&HF

640 with red small and dynamic crosshair when using duck.

Its all preference...there is no "best" setting find settings to your liking...and then just STICK to them unless you feel something's really wrong... 640 large spawn 640 medium jaegarn 640 small fnx just to give some quick examples (I dont know if they have changed these settings recently..anyways the point is theres no best setting. You can always find more examples)

I've always preferred using the smallest crosshair size I can since the days of Quake. Besides in CS when you've played long enough you're not aiming spray with the crosshair anyway.
