i just place them over the sideburns. I dont know wich mouse u use, but on my Logitech MX510, if i remove the sideburns i get a little bump under it, and placing hyperglide there will just be pointless.
But u can try, put the hyperglide on the sideburns, if you kill 1 more dude on public, then its good, otherwise remove the sideburns and hope that it wont leave a bump. :P

(recommendation: Do not remove the sideburns at the beginning)

put the new set mouse feets on top of the origin ones.

Nexttime, you just need to remove and still add new set on top of the origin feets !
