Hi guys and girls.

I have recently rebooted my computer, the result were that it runned worse counter strike, but better WoW. So now is my question, do you guys and girls use any programs to tweak your computer for cs or just more fps? do you overclock? if yes which program you use ?

OK...

You can play on a 16 MB graphic card and Pentium 2 CS 1.6 with 100 fps. But anyway to tweak your computer, i recommend TuneUp Utilies, but if you don't want to buy it (or get it on different ways 4 free), there are many other free programs for tweaking your computer, just google a bit.

I'm too lazy now :P.

i dont ask for what to do, i wanna have help from one with experience who can tell me about the good programs ect. :)

Tune Up Utilities + video drivers updated

v-sync - off and If I had a CRT monitor I would use refreshlock.exe instead of turning off v-sync

disable the onboard sound card and use usb soundcard

what will it help ?

I know there is a package with models for counter-strike with ugly textures.For smoke you can't do it without cheating =S.

I will give you the package if I found it.

More performance and more fps :P

if you just 'rebooted' and your cs doesn't run the same something must have happened to your pc, scan for viruses or do a system restore.
