Hey everyone! Since it's the holidays I recently received a TFT monitor. After playing CS on it in some scrims I noticed it felt weird ingame. I read up on it and have found most players tend to favor CRT monitors over TFT's.

Now to my question; why are TFT's disliked in the FPS gaming community? Also noticed alot of top teams sometimes will skip an event if they plan to use TFT monitors.

Maximums frequency for tft screens is 75Hz whereas for crt's it could be up to 120Hz. That's the main reason why gamers prefer crt screens.

sYeria is right. That means on TFT display you will get maximum 75 fps. Although you can set your fps_max 100 but it will still refuse to show some frames. I have TFT and i had a little problems getting used to it in first couple of days but now everything is working fine. My personal opinion is that 25 fps up or down is not going to change anything, if you are good you are good and that's all the philosophy...

CRT for me, i don't like TFT, they don't feel... correct :D.

after playing like 3-4 days with it you will get used to it so TFT less damage for your eyes :]
